fab skin

I have always been a pale girl. So pale, in fact, people made comments, often unkind.
After 20 something years in pursuit of the perfect tan (which I believe I had twice), and two pregnancies, my skin was ravaged with suns spots and hyper pigmentation. I am not alone. At my age, the thing that ages a woman most is not wrinkles, but uneven skin tone.
So some of my secret weapons:
First, exfoliate. This is as important as moisturizing and sun protection. The dead skin cells need help sloughing off and accumulation makes the skin look more uneven then it is. You also stimulate the cell turn over and reveal younger, smoother, more even skin tone. My secret weapon is Exfoliating Foaming facial cleanser by Suki. Included in the ingredients are sugar and lemon. Lemon helps fade sun spots. My skin always looks brilliant after I use it and it is safe to use when on a sunny vacation. As a matter of fact I don't leave home without it.
Second, and in the winter only, use a product designed for fading. This you need to be careful with as it makes skin photosensitive and is full of chemicals so use sparingly and rarely and always wear spf. Even in winter. I use Clinique Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector and it works well. For those who want milder results with nicer ingredients I suggest Caudile Vinoperfect Radiance Serum. It does not make skin photosensitive and has a nice smoothing and moisturizing effect. It is safe to use in the sun and helps with a better, more even tan. I can't use it, my skin rejects it, as it does most serums.
And last, always protect with an spf. I adore Keys. All natural developed to be safe for women with cancer. Moisturizing not greasy, with a radiant effect but wait a bit before applying makeup.
