Marni @ H&M

There is a trend of high end designers producing for low end franchises--think Target. Not a fan, as usually the small price tag reflects lower quality product, regardless of who designs it. (I Like to think that a high price tag means high quality material and construction as well as a highly talented individual working under a muse--we all know that is not always true.) But I wouldn't mind snagging a piece or two from this collection. Life is a party in Marni at H&M, March 8th. You decide.

Deborah Lippmann in Fashion

It doesn't look like much--I have been going right past this little beauty for some time--but let me assure you this beige brown is right on trend.
On my pale skin it is just dark enough to be stylish without looking gaudy, in with the mannequin hand trend, but slightly off to be unique. Can't wait to see it with a tan.
At Holt Renfrew, Beauty Bar and Deborah Lippmann. About $17 and up.

Mah Birthday Suit

It's my birthday. It is up for a debate how old I actually am. According to my son's Facebook post I am 28, again. Some may say, I just had my 40th birthday party, two years running. I would like to tell you I am somewhere in between. I may be lying. For my birthday, my hubby bought me a suit. Its one of those have to haves in your closet and I have been coveting one for a long time. It feels heavenly and has just the right drape.

This one is a wide pant, single button blazer from Mexx at 25% off. Thanks hun.

Yes, I took this photo in our staff bathroom.

Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, take 2‏

I know, my follow up is long overdue, but the Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask by Ren is worth the wait.

I wasn't sure, at first: it seemed too much for my sensitive skin. Following the application, my skin felt plumped and hydrated, but next day my skin felt stressed. But I kept at it, using it only once a week, no more. It is now my go to mask: it hydrates, improves skin tone and over all minimizes my imperfections: scars, blemishes, hyper pigmentation. At a hefty price of around $55, I deem this mask gravy.

You can purchase online at, it is sold out at the moment, another tell, and at Sephora. Kiss and Makeup boutique in West Vancouver also stocks this item.

Footnote: Ren products are hard to like at first, as my skin does not respond to them as expected, at first. But patience is a virtue with these gems.
